The new issue is out. The cemetery has not yet been finished... we have several new occupants on the way.

Stephen , I really liked your piece about the tourneys. Rick had onced asked me if my feelings about the Masters had changed knowing that the Society was going back to something or other way of doing things . I didn't answer because I wanted to make sure I wasn't having some sort of wah-wah party for myself.( I finished last) . However , it has lost some luster. I don't see myself going out of my way to play in the Masters. If it works into my schedule I'll show. Otherwise...NBD.

I'm glad to hear you say that. Some months ago we were discussing how to launch special events for VDP and the subject came up. At that time I was about halfway done with the article, so I hope it has some impact with the VDP folks and is useful in their quest to establish something lasting and fun.

Yes, SD has written up several and he is not the problem ... I am. I'm hopelessly buried right now and hope to get to something posted either over this weekend, or about mid week.

The new issue is out, but few of us will enjoy reading it. Very sad news, I'm afraid.

I was shocked to read it. I am not sure if I ever met Jason or not (I think I may have played one gameday with him). Sorry I won't get a chance to do so again, but he's in a better place so I celebrate that. If nothing else, I'll try to keep his Albatros preference alive and kicking in memorandum.
FYI, participation was mostly UP for DP this year, we had quite a few games with several rookies. So, for that reason alone, a new ed would be very helpful, because I think it would continue the trend.
