I have an inclination toward option "A", but if no one else wants to go there then I'll be okay the weather front problem. (It just doesn't seem right, letting a little rain get the best of battle hardened aviators) Which is why I think the possibility of doubling the speed of repairs at least until 3/26 would solve the problems. Then we might only have to skip the PM game for 3/23.....

In other words my thinking is this, after the morning of 3/23 both squadrons limped home (what was left of them), and put out an emergency call for the best mechanics available. They start work immediately on the evening of the 23rd and because of extra hands, the speed is doubled, and more repairs and returns are available. In that scenario we would be in good shape on the 24th, and practically perfect condition on the 25th.....

Okay, I slept on it.
The Germans knew very well that this was their last chance to win the war. This was their D-Day. The Allies had to hold on at all costs until US forces could arrive. This was THE moment. History was being made and everyone involved knew it.
These guys had no more option to simply quit than did the defenders of the Alamo. This is war. This is bravery medal stuff. This is a scored campaign. Glory to the victors, death to the losers. This is Germany's last gasp and England's finest hour.
If a squadron has two airplanes capable of taking off, they must fly as assigned.
Calling in sick is not an option.
So man up.

C'mon, ladies. Quit powdering your nose and get on with it.
Both teams are battered. Join the club. We are all short of airplanes. I have the most experienced pilot in the whole campaign and I may soon find myself flying an RE 8. So I shall council no whiners.
Time to take the gloves off.

So what's the verdict, Rick? Oh, I just thought I'd write it up as mission orders and hand it to the squadron commander next game. ;D

Write what up? There's a war on, you know.

Write what up? There's a war on, you know. Well, the theater commander has to make the decision and then have the orders sent out to the troops, no? Once informed of the situation with the unit in question, will he tell them to stand down a day or two (in the middle of an offensive) or will he tell them to press onward and do their best for the Fatherland (or for King and Country if on the otherside). But if you want to know ahead of time I suppose I can tell you.

Okay, RBF is history... now it's time to refocus on the Ludendorff Campaign!!
Exactly what's happening from here? Or are we supposed to stay in the dark until game time or somesuch mystery?

Yay! Okay then, we have a plan! Who's got the next mission, us or the Germans?

Just for the record, I have not lost my enthusiasm for our campaign and I'm anxious to start it again.

Rick, I'm excited to get the Ludendorff Campaign started again and it would be cool if you could post a briefing on exactly where we're at, the score, and what was decided to address the airplane shortage. I say we make that our first game at the next gaming day.

I say we make that our first game at the next gaming day. Without giving away side specific info: We are ready for mission # 6 out of 16, occuring on the afternoon of 3-23-1918. The Allies will have mission choice and the Germans will be defending. Both sides don't have a lot left. The next mission will be very odd. Don't have the scoring right now, I'll have to look it up.
