Okay, here's a place to post all our campaign stuff without getting lost in other posts.
Kevin, can you post what planes we have available? I don't have the paperwork and its really hard to keep up on what we have. I'd like to know what's available, what is not, and the time span for repairs on everything.
Also, what missions are still available to us? We can only run each mission once, right?

Ok, I'm going through our records now, I'll have it updated here for you in a moment. One thing I've noticed is I think we shorted ourselves 10 points. We gave ourselves 40 points for the photo recon mission and by Rick's scenario we should have gotten 50......

Stephen, I think we should talk privately about what's available, damage, and repairs, as I would imagine Rick's not going to post the status of his planes and how much damage they've taken. We might lose some tactical advantage if they have our info and we don't have theirs. Just a thought. If the Germans want to be open about I will too.

The rules for the campaign state that each mission TYPE can be chosen up to TWICE in the first 14 missions. After that, anything can be chosen for the 2 remaining missions.
So far here is what has been chosen:
Allies:
1-Airfield raid 1-Photo recon
Germans:
1-Strategic Bombing 1-Fighter patrol
All 7 mission types are still available to be chosen by either side at this point.
They are:
1. Ground Attack- 50 points if 1 or more ground target destroyed. 2. Photo Recon- 50 points if photos returned intact 3. Artillery Spotting- 60 points if artillery successfully hits target 4. Airfield Raid- 25 points per airplane destroyed on ground or in air. 5. Balloon Busting- 40 points if balloon downed or destroyed. 6. Fighter Patrol- 25 points per a/c destroyed. 7. Strategic Bombing- 30 points if bombs dropped on target

That's part of the fun I think. Now, if you have a mechanics/procedure question, I'd be happy to answer that privately (as the GM for the campaign). But I'd really like to keep the limited intelligence limited if that's ok.

Okay, it's all set up! Each side in Indy Squadron Campaign XII "The Ludendorff Offensive" now has its own private discussion board! Woo hoo! I hope that solves the issues about posting stuff publicly and limited intelligence. And of course, we can continue to taunt and trash talk here.

I see that the Germans have exchanged 19 posts on their private board compared to only 14 for the Allies. Hmmm. Either they yammer too much or we are falling behind in crafting brilliant strategies. I'll assume the former for the moment.

I think we goofed.
Michael's Albatros two seater fired on my Bristol in the same turn in which he dropped bombs on one of our SE's parked on the airfield. An observer who is bombing cannot also fire his machine gun. There are specific rules on this somewhere, but I think the Albatros C is an observer drop, not a pilot drop.
It's too late to worry about it now, but we should remember that next time. That was a big turning point. Its bound to occur again during the campaign.

Yup, I looked it up. If Michael was in an Alb, it was an illegal shot.
Observers must make the bomb drop in all Albatros C models. If he's aiming and dropping, he can't be aiming and shooting a machine gun.

If he's aiming and dropping, he can't be aiming and shooting a machine gun. Actually easy to correct. Take back the four hits, keep the plane on squadron roll, and we lose 25 points from the total score (meaning each side scored 75 pts). However, I believe that he fired at the Bristol the turn AFTER the bomb was dropped. I got up from the Butler game to do the bomb resolution then a second time for a question about the strafe. If this is indeed the case, everything was resolved correctly. Michael, double check your log and see if you did indeed fire the same turn as bomb drop or the turn after please.

Additionally, I need some plane information from Wayne for bookkeeping (number of hits in each area, any crits) and if Kevin could send me a separate email (rlacy40@hotmail.com) it would help me as the GM for the campaign.
Kevin, I would like to know the following:
Original squadron roll what planes are dead what planes are damaged when you lost planes, when the replacements roll on.
This will help me to determine if there will be an unexpected weather front come through for a couple of days, lol.
