Mr. Richeson and Stephan. I know you both and you guys don't act like this. But, I would like to say that healthy debate is good, until friends start going for eachothers throats.
So. I prepose a closing and deletion of all the argumentative threads that have been posted over the last few months.
Then. I prepose that we all get forgiveness for offending eachother. And finally.
We move on.
Our views on government will always differ. We will never fully agree. No amount of bickering will change anything.
There is no sense in brothers in Christ arguing over something that has absolutely bupkiss to do with eternity. So we all need to make up and move on.
P.S.
To Mr. Richeson and Stephan.
I respect you both greatly and I will ask you both to not bring any of this up at the gaming today or in the future.
BY GOD'S GRACE, LET US ALL FORGIVE.
P.P.S.
Now, lets have fun playing Dawn Patrol!

To Mr. Skinner and Stephan Dale.
I ask you both with the most respect to accept my sincerest apologies if I offended you at all during our debates.
If I did. I am sorry. Please forgive me.

I'm not offended in the slightest dude, no apology needed. Forums are like facebook, they are massive wastes of time and we just do them for fun. Communicating with someone in different mediums sometimes requires more explicit statements. I wouldn't say we need to close everything, Stephen and Kevin are grown ups, they'll do just fine. I only ever entered one question and I stuck to it, if you want to debate anything with me start another thread and let me know, it'll be fun.

Same here, although I don't consider it necessary.
Of course I found some things offensive, but we're adults (well, most of the time I am). I have neither the time nor the inclination to get all huffy every time someone says something I don't like. Its part of debating and I accept that.
But I still firmly believe that debate rules - any debate rules - would be a big help.

Stephen and I talked tonight outside before everyone arrived and things are fine. We know we don't agree on politics and government, and that's ok. Believers often do not agree on subjects. He's still a brother in Christ, and I probably overreacted to a certain extent to some of the comments made. I agree that debate rules can help if people are having a debate. I also have repeatedly stood by the fact that I'm not afraid to debate and discuss the issue. I think a debate on TOL in a Battle Royale would be a lot of fun.

I would like to ask you Stephen to not make statements saying I'm afraid to discuss any issue whether it be politics or religion or anything under the sun. At no time am I afraid to discuss or debate something, nor am I afraid to examine views that I hold and if they were shown to be unScriptural I would abandon them, and have done so on many issues. But for me the Bible is the ultimate trump card, far more than any human authors.
