Good point about rookies playing in the game. Not everyone can pull off a Cody Richeson first time he's ever played the game come in 4th at Armistice Day due to his incredible luck. I think you're right about Sierra being more prepared than Ethan for the big game. From what I saw last gaming day she's got a fairly good grasp on it. She might make mistakes if she's completely on her own, but hey that's sometimes the best way to learn. The big thing the young players will need to do is fill their sheets out completely without help. I think Garrett is ready (sink or swim) to give it a shot. Michael and Wesley are rookies to Armistice Day as is Ian, but I think all 3 of those boys should not be overlooked as threats to win it all. Any word from any out of towners or Rick?

Well it's quiet on the out of town front. I wonder if Ken is coming this year.

The official announcement and invitation goes out today and you saw it here first: The 21st annual Indy Squadron Armistice Day Fits Tournament
The only tournament in Dawn Patrol where second place means nothing. ______________________________________________ ONE CHANCE. ONE AWARD. ONE CHAMPION.
SO BRING YOUR GAME OR STAY HOME.[/center] Howdy All!! Its time once again to name our annual Indy Squadron champion at the biggest event of the year, the 21st annual Armistice Day Fits Tournament. We already have eight confirmed attendees, all of whom are eligible for the Indy title as well as the ADFT championship. You can read up on eligibility details and the whole tournament at indysquadron.com/id20.html. It is especially recommended that Armistice rookies take a few moments and browse the Armistice Tourney page on the Indy Squadron web site to familiarize yourself with the rules and purpose of the tourney. The Armistice Day Fits Tournament is the biggest event and the top prize the Indy Squadron has to offer, and the squadron champ wins our highest award, the Victory Medal. Remember, this is a winner-take-all event for the Victory Medal. There is no award for second place. This year's grand slam will be held at the home of Indy pilots Michael and Wesley Morgan, 5545 Floating Leaf Drive, Indianapolis, on the southeast side of Indy near Thompson Rd and Emerson Ave and less than 5 minutes off I-465. A map of their home can be found here: www.mapquest.com/maps?city=Indianapolis&state=in&address=5445+Floating+Leaf+Drive. We'll start with a single warm-up game at 12 noon and then swing straight into the championship game. If you don't attend the warm-up game, you are safe arriving as late as 2pm - if the warm-up game ends early we will not start without you. After 2pm the Armistice Tourney will begin as soon as possible so we have plenty of time for the main event, along with all our traditional fun stuff like a toast to our new champion, the awarding of the coveted Victory Medal and so forth. Please make plans to stay afterward to salute the winner if at all possible. The 21-year history of the Armistice Day Fits Tournament and all records for the event make for a really fun read and are listed here: indysquadron.com/id190.html. See you THIS SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 14th, at 12 NOON at the MORGAN'S HOUSE for the 21st annual Armistice Day Fits Tournament!!!

Like I mentioned when this date was posted, the 7th worked better for me. I have a family function at 3 pm Saturday that will run for 2 hours. If you feel like holding the game till about 5:30 I can make it. If not, I'll still probably drop by and maybe give the noobs some help as an impartial observer or judge?

I'm wondering if 5:30 is too late of a start time for our championship game. I really would love for Rick to be able to play, however. I'm just thinking if we start that late we may not be done until well after midnight. Does that work for Dory, et al? Mike has said if it runs late that is fine with him, but I don't know. I'm not opposed to it though.

Seriously, I've always maintained that you schedule for when the greatest number of people can attend regardless of who that leaves out. Do what is best for the largest number of players.

I'm very sorry that we're having this issue, Rick. When Kevin sent me his suggested schedule, every date but one matched up with the suggested schedule that you had sent me in the spring so I just said "sure, post it and let's get it done." I guess a lot of things changed in yr schedule since then. I'm still for waiting if we can. You belong in this game. Can you cut your day short and meet us in the middle?

Nope, it my wife's family coming over for birthday festivities. I'd be lynched. Besides, family stuff has to take precedent over games IMO. Yea, it's be a very crazy year this year. I'm surprised I've survived to this point.

I just spoke with Graham Shepfer. He is a very slight possibility for the game he said. He said most likely not, but if what he had planned falls through he might make it.
