Purchased Red Baron movie at GenCon at the Belle and Blade booth. ($30).
Finally watched it.
Forget a story line anything close to history.
When (if) you get a chance to watch it, try to think of it as the "Enemy Ace" movie.
The 2nd time I watched it I had a mind that it was a fictional story about WW 1 flyers ala "Dawn Patrol" not a movie 'based on a true story !' (snort...). I enjoyed it very much.
The attention to detail is terrific. The MGs sound like the Vickers at Guntersville in 1992. The combat scenes are ...(awesome,incredible,fantasic,wow,OMG,...pick one)
My only(minor,very minor) dig is that the a/c seem to be too fast and nimble for WW 1 . Especially when you compare the a/c in the Blue Max combats.
The Jasta's planes have historic paint schemes along with some fictional ones.
Much better than Fly Boys IMHO.
