The visitor from Wisconsin that was in town today (theoretically) didn't join us, so the Germans were outnumbered and got their butts kicked.

It was 4 Allied vs 3 CP, the CP had very slightly better planes but couldn't overcome the numbers advantage. Laserlike shooting by Stephen didn't help any.

Sorry you couldn't make it, George. I'm going to try like crazy to have the new issue up Sunday... wish me luck. The Allies had numerical advantage, slightly inferior planes and the youngest player at the table on their side. Still, its hard to beat raw numbers. I really think dice and shooting had more to do with it than numerical advantages. The good news is that I didn't set up the scenario so no one can yell at me anymore. Sweet freedom. Sorry Ken couldn't make it. He deserved a chance at four in a row but didn't get it.

I don't know that the tailing really came into it all that much, unless it did later. You only tailed me one turn, then chose not to tail part of my plane on the way down...

Bumped up one table tailing you and was able to continue firing at same target instead of whatever random target was available. Then tailed Kevin four straight turns. I think there were 7 or 8 game turns, and I spent six of them tailing. That's also one of the reasons why I was never shot at... tailing automatically reduced my chances of being shot by 33% since there were three Germans.
Hitting from the same angle every time and bumping up one table with every shot really helps.

Had radio troubles on the first lap (48 mile laps) and made an unscheduled pit stop. Still finished 9th and was pretty happy about it, considering it was my first desert event. Also, I later learned that I am the only driver ever to finish a race with that truck, so now I'm even happier. Armistice Day news in the new issue and its FINALLY out now!!

What's the deal with the "thanks Rick" comment about the Belgian plane? What diff does it make in a game where everyone is a 2/2?

Nothing... I just got such a kick out of having a Belgian Camel in the game. No one on earth would have thought to make that Camel Belgian except you. Every time I wrote about his Camel that thought occurred to me again.
