There was a pretty decent article about WWI arial photography in Air & Space Smithsonian Magazine this month. I thought the pictures were the most interesting part of it.

It doesn't contain the quote from the article though, and doesn't have the illustrations shown in the picture in the article heading.

I saw that article a while back. The photo of the Nieuport 11 in flight was amazing!
