On my version, click the left/right arrow (3rd button), then click it again on the new window.
It asks for the IP address for a peer-peer game

Dangit. That's what I thought it should be too. but nothing. I have version Vassal 3.0.11.

Your version is later than mine; I doubt I'll be able to play then (major version changes are often incompatible).
I'll have to wait until next time then and update my version number.
Saturday games would be better for me (I can play on Sunday morning; its now 1225pm Friday here @ +11GMT)

I'm giving up for the night. There seems to be something buggy with connecting peer-to-peer, sounds like Herman is at the same spot I've been for the last hour - able to invite but not able to connect out to another computer. If I have some time this weekend, I'll see if I can dig up a solution on the Vassal message boards.
