One of the benefits of E-Gaming using VDP is that DP players from all over the world can participate. I remember there used to be a large number of Australian players that took part in the old webgames. If anybody knows of any foreign players, please be sure to get the word out to them. I sent an e-mail to the address listed at the Inviolable Squadron webpage and hopefully we'll get some participation from that group. Does anybody know if any of the Australian squadrons play anymore?

I imagine you could get some players there if you could find the right addresses but I don't have them. More on the Aussie group coming up in a future article about the history of local squadrons around the world.

That's too bad. It leaves me to wonder what the size of the DP universe is that we have to draw players from. Back when I was trying to get VDP off the ground the first time, I seem to remember a group from St. Louis, the Lilac Escadrille from somewhere near Chicago, and people such as George Cunningham, Dan Danoski, Rick Lacy, etc. who seemed to be pretty diehard players and contributed a great deal. Are any of those folks/groups still playing? I ask because it seems that vast majority of participation in VDP games and on this board comes from about a half dozen people. It would be nice to find a way to get the word out "in the streets" so to speak and maybe bring back into the fold those that have moved on from DP because they couldn't find opponents. I'd like to make it as easy as possible for people to enjoy this fun game again.

Hey, maybe I should see if Mike Vick might want to join us for some dogfighting that won't get him in so much trouble.

One of the best ways would be to write an article for the Aerodrome, and I have talked to Mike Carr and he would love to see one, also if you can design a flyer with pertinent information, I will be happy to pass out at the Gen Con events to both regular and new players, and others who play the game but not at Gen Con. Send me a pm if you want to do that.
Thanks George
