This fall, I would like to start working on an ambitious VDP map project. My objective is to eventually end up with a range of maps that can be used to recreate a range of environments and missions.
I envision that the first part of this project will be creating standardised terrain features. The second part would be creating a number of standard maps. The final task would be to create overlays that can be used to modify the standard maps.
A this point, I intend to use Paint Shop Pro for the majority of the project.
So far, I have a personal list of maps that I would like to see, including the Arizona group's Ostend map, the Front, a town or portion of a city, and an alpine map.
My reason for starting this thread is to ask who else may be interested in working on this project (I know at least two people are), figure out how best to coordinate work or share resources, and to find out what other ideas are floating around in peoples' heads.
