I'm planning to log in to Vassal about 10:30am CDT if anyone is up for a Sunday game.

The first game we played was very enjoyable, although a bit frustrating. Mark and I were in Alb DIII's while our gallant opponents Andy and Kevan were in DH-5's. Two turns into the game three of the four German guns were jammed although on that second turn Andy's DH got an engine crit that left him doing skywriting for the balance of the game. Luckily for the Germans, Mark was able to get both his guns unjammed fairly quickly although Kirk never got his second gun working again. The four planes danced and darted around the sky exchanging shots until the DH's had had enough and dove for the clouds and safety. Little did they know Kirk was ready to leave as well, having his aforementioned jammed gun, a wing with lots of hits (every wing hit was on my LW) and a crit, and an engine with a few hits.
I had to leave after that game, but a new player (VASSAL username "Planner") showed up and was going to try out playing VDP after not having played DP for 20+ years. Hopefully somebody that played in the game can give us a brief writeup as to what transpired.

We played a quick game, Planner and I in 150hp Camels vs. Mark and Andy in Dr 1s. Mark had to leave after a couple of turns, and Andy was plagued with high initiative rolls, so I basically chased Andy around putting 20+ holes in him while Planner got back up to speed in maneuvring and tactics. When I finally broke off my attack, Planner got into the firing action, and Andy headed for the clouds, amazingly without a single crit.
