If you could submit an article to the 'Drome' what would it be?

I think mine would be on large planes.
I've been flying the Dornier and having a blast. I know there was a published set of rules but I'd like to see them again and maybe do a little playtesting.

I'd do a "Beginners Guide to VDP" article to try and entice experienced face-to-face gamers to try out VDP. In my eyes VDP needs to be accepted and embraced by the game designer as a viable way to play and if VDP is going to thrive articles about it in The Aerodrome would be a way to do that. Plus it might go a long way toward eliminating the fear factor associated with trying to initially learn how to play DP using VASSAL.

Kirk- We included two pieces in the 'Drome that just arrived at my doorstep this weekend. The introduction done by Rex, and then I wrote a small piece as well with an update about current play, the campaign, and the plan to hold tournaments/events as well as Thursday Night play. Mike is always encouraging more to be written for the publication and I am sure he would happily accept anything written, so Jim, I wanna see the article on the Dornier for the fall issue! Kirk, we should have a write-up as well for each issue, in which we can update the society on the "going on's" of VDP. The more enticing we make it, the more players we will see. It will be interesting to see if this latest issue brings any more of the long time FTF players to the site...

The apprehension we had previously (and probably today) from the "old guard" seemed mostly related to their confusion about getting VASSAL to work. I'll be the first to admit it can be daunting in the beginning if you've never done anything like that before. Somehow we need to try to make it as easy as possible for the 'vets to "take the plunge" into VDP. If an article in The Aerodrome can dispel the fears and questions of using VASSAL, we could see a lot more folks playing on Thursday (and other) nights.

Hey Andrew,
How about a piece on those models you purchased. I'd love to hear how your game worked out.

Yeah I am putting something together that will go out on the Ghost Jasta sight... the wings of war models are spectacular, and it was fun adapt them to DP. I will let you know when I have the article out there...

Well that didn't make it as far as I'd hoped. Anybody else out there that wants something in print?
How about it Al? Did you finish the Zepplinstakken chart yet? Stephen updates on the movie or book? All you guys who play regularly? Any color commentary from your regular games?

I have an article ready to go about Freikorps aces . I was going to send it to Al but then thoughtbetter of it. I didn't want it to conflict with the ace list. I have some typos to take care of, then I will send it to MC and I guess he can decide if and when it gets printed.
