Hey... lots of great pilots started as ambulance drivers! Yes, I'm happy to total all your posts together. You've now jumped past ambulance driver as well as all infantry ranks and are now a flying officer in the RFC. Congratulations!

Oh yes, I like the sound of flying officer much better ! All I need now is a nice DSO and MC ribbon to brighten up my tunic !
As a very VERY minor point. Im sure flying officer is an RAF rank. The Roayl Flying Corps had army ranks such as Lieutenants and Captains ....... but OMG how picky am I being now ! The new rank structure is a great touch, all I need now is help with multi eng rules and Im a happy bunny !
Keep up the great work - everything looks fantastic !

Exactly... you're a 2LT in the RFC. Just for kicks ( and since this forum offers far more options) I structured the ranks to reflect an Allied pilot's full career... from ambulance driver to infantry, rising through infantry to flying unit, then into officer's ranks, then squadron command, then a few surprises at the top. Might as well have some fun with it. However, newbies will move through the lower ranks very quickly... like every tenth post or something like that.

I like it- I like it alot !
I like the thought of a few surprises at the top end, should I just start calling myself sir Hugh now ??
I keep looking for posts from Sopwith 21 - its going to take some getting used to looking for "Stephen" instead !
