This is just an update of VDP E-Game #2 which sees Kevan and Dan in their Fokker DVII's taking on a pair of Sopwith Camels piloted by Andy and Rex. So far the Allies have done the majority of the shooting, however Rex's "to hit" die seems to have more than one 6 on it. Both Dan and Kevan have suffered numerous hits and Kevan also received a pilot hit. We're starting turn 7 right now and the Germans are looking to fight back.
Once this game is over I wouldn't mind starting up another E-game if anybody would like to participate. This game has moved along far more quickly than game #1 which seems to be stuck in neutral.
Also, if anyone else would want to oversee an e-game, feel free to do so. It's fun, and if we get multiple people willing to be moderators (I can't moderate more than a couple at a time) we'd be able to have quite a few games going at once. The process we've been using is akin to the old webgames in that each player moves their plane and declares their targets and then the moderator does all the dice rolling.
Lastly, if anyone has any suggestions how the process can be improved, I welcome the input.

Well, Dan may be looking to fight back, but I have announced my intention to depart...
I can run the next e-game, give you a bit of a break. I'll set up a sign-up thread right away.
Many thanks for setting up and running these first two games, Kirk. I like to hope that the stalls have been largely due to this being summer, with many people taking vacations and otherwise occupied by activities that take advantage of the warm weather (i.e. not sitting inside, in front of the computer). I can't think of how the process could be improved. Have all players been remembering to email you with their firing intentions after they move?

Occasionally people forget, but it hasn't been a big deal. The biggest problem with game #1 has been a couple people having issues. I just hope everything is alright with Gary. We haven't heard from him in any capacity in quite some time.
I'm thinking maybe there needs to be some sort of rule set up that says if a person who's turn it is hasn't responded in any capacity for a couple weeks (either by moving or informing someone involved with the game why they can't move), the moderator is free to move their airplane. The rule would be that the moderator would be required to attempt to escape with that plane and he can't fire on anyone - unless someone flies in front of his guns after he moves. I suggest that because the moderator knows how much damage everyone has and it simply wouldn't be fair for him to make any conscious decision to fire at someone. If then after that move the player comes back, he can feel free to take over the plane wherever the moderator has left it.

I'd like to take this opportunity to declare VDP E-Game #2 officially closed.
We started out with Andy (1/0) and Rex (0/0) in Sopwith Camel 150's taking on Dan (3/1) and Kevan (0/0) both in Fokker DVII 160's. The camels stated with a 800' height advantage and used it to good effect in turn one with both Andy and Rex doing heavy damage to each German. Kevan had a shot at Rex but missed. Turn 2 saw the Allies not doing any damage (Kevan missed his shot) but Dan did 6 hits of bottom damage to Rex. Turn three saw the four Spandaus spittind death once again with both Dan and Kevan hitting Rex, but there hits were spread all over Rex's plane. Andy hit Kevan with 7 more tail hits which resulted in a #6 wing crit (dive cut by 100'). Turn four saw both Allies pick on Dan with shots of 100' or less, but he got away relatively easily with only four hits. In the last three turns the only pilot to score any hits was Andy who hit Dan for 9 and a #11 wing crit on turn five and got Kevan for two hits and a pilot hit (light wound) on turn 6. Both Rex and Andy then struggled with jammed Vickers while Dan and Kevan looked for an escape route. Kevans pilot was ready to pass out and Dan had ten hits on each wing and was flying his plane gingerly. Their break came on turn eight when they moved last and broke off combat and headed home. Dan brought his plane home nicely while Kevans pilot struggled with his wound to get the crate down in one piece, but was able to barely manage it.
All in all a fun time, even for the moderator. It's fun to watch the game unfold almost like a movie as each pilot does his best to outwit his foe. Once again I hope everybody had fun and will want to do it again soon.
