Hi All, Thanks to Kevan's great work, Version 1.2 is now available. It boasts 2 new maps .. hundreds of new aircraft counters, new bombing counters and even a new AA gun. Use the link on the main Module page to download the file.

I'm sort of VASSAL illiterate so I need things spelled out for me. I went to the VASSAL webpage and clicked where it said to download Dawn Patrol module 1.2. The downloaded .zip file contains lots of files, but no Dawn Patrol V1.2.mod file. Do I just use the previous V1.1.mod file or is there a .mod file I'm missing somewhere? Sorry for the confusion.

You may be running into the same problem I did - for some reason when I downloaded it using Explorer, it renamed the file with a .zip ending. If you save the downloaded file into the same folder as your previous modules, then rename the file by deleting ".zip" and replacing it with ".mod", it will work. There is no need to unzip the file, as it isn't zipped to begin with.

Ah, that explains a lot. I'll do that. Thanks.

Yes, Technically all mod files are Zip files that Vassal knows how to read. So you can rename it to .mod or just point vassal at it when you start and it should work. Renaming will probably avoid confusion.

Will V1.2 be the standard as of this Thursday night's game?

I'm hoping everyone will have it. I think that some of the campaign scenarios will make good use of the expanded map.
