One of Indy's old timers - Jason Meador - says he's coming to play with us on the 18th! Jason's been out of the game for almost a decade so it will be great to have him back. He's not online so he can't read ISD or get upcoming gaming dates, but he called and asked me when we were playing next so I know he's serious.
Now if we could just get Scott Jones and Dory Oda back on the same day, what nostalgia that would make...

Talked to Jason on the phone yesterday and he's still planning on making it out to Gamerz this weekend. He said to consider him a "definate."

Good. I look forward to seeing Jason again. If memory serves me right I only gamed with him once or twice.

as an out of towner, who has thought about coming down for one of these game days, or for tourney, a question...
what is the format? what does all your spouses/gf do while you play? if i was to come down, i would be bringing my gf, so the question would be, what would she do while i played? (she is not a gamer, but allows me to play...)...
just some thoughts.

We'd love to have you come in for a gaming day. We start at 10 am and play until evening, but when out of town guests are here we try to play later (if they want) to make their trip more worthwhile.
The wives/girlfriends/victims generally stay at home or do whatever they would normally do with a Saturday afternoon. There are lots of places to shop nearby and plenty of places to eat. There's also movie theatres and if she wanted company, we might be able to arrange something with one of the aforementioned victims. One way or another if she's up for a day of entertainment there's plenty here to be done.
We don't normally break for lunch during gaming. Instead we'll all pitch in on a pizza or someone will run out for burgers. When we play at Gamerz they also have affordable food on site, though its generally frozen microwave meals.
Let us know what and when you're thinking about... we'd love to have you. Where are you coming from?

according to mapquest, its about a 10 hour drive to indianapolis.
i was thinking about the red baron flight. i have one vacation day from last year i need to take, so i was thinking of taking the friday off, and driving down, and show up saturday for the event, then drive back sunday.
also i was thinking about coming down for gencon, this year, but we will have to wait and see how things work out, during the summer.
