Hi, was playing vassal, with the gentlemen from England, today (12th), and we came across to situations that we thought needed clarification (since we are newbie's at this).
1) I was diving, 1350 feets, and i moved 1rst, he followed my dive, and ended up in my square 50' above me, now, is that a 50' Top shot? or a 50' tail shot? he declared his nose to be 'down'. We ended up using 50' top, but i argued that you could call this a 50' tail shot, and therefore he would be able to tail me next turn...as opposed to not being able to, with a 50' top shot...your thoughts would be welcome.
2) Low Throttle. Initiative. The way i read rules, is that if you are using low throttle, then you move after out of control, but before powered planes, therefore, you dont need to roll initiative, as it is not required, to determine your movement order...
just wanted some feedback, as these discussions occured, in our game.
thanks garyb

1) Top shot is correct. A plane can only be nose up or nose down when it is firing at another target. So even tho you were diving and the nose of your a/c might be a bit downward in pitch, your plane is still considered level overall.
2) Your answer is correct.
