Hi, just a thought,
would having the ability to pre-order the 8th edition? help speed things along? by generating some cash flow for Mike?
just another thought...

I actually just sent a long email to Mike, asking if he would be willing to give a short '8th Edition Update' at the mini-con where he could fill the community in on the current status of the game, what is left to be done etc. Also, the what -if anything- the DP community can do to assist in the completion process. That way everyone could be on the same page, and he may get some of the help (if any is needed) with tasks necessary for finishing the game. Any response I get I will be sure to post here!

Yes, I'd pre-order if it would help.

I'd be willing to pre-order. Wargame publishers like GMT Games and Multiman Publishing use pre-orders as an effective means of determining demand and financing the re-printing of games.

I think all of the FitSS members would pre-order but, that number is sadly declining. I'm not sure how you would be able to get many more pre-orders without some exposer. Which would be a problem with out a site people were going to for other reasons and or adds on BGG or other popular web sites.
Now to answer the question, yes I would pre-order.

Hell yeah I'd pre-order! And I'm sure I could count on a couple of my gaming buddies to do so as well.

Heck yeah I would be willing to Pre-Order.
It has been some years since I actually played a game, and a friend of mine keeps bugging me to play. We just don't have enough friends who want to play anymore.

Hey Brian, Have you checked out vassal Dawn patrol? It is the next best thing to getting a group of 4 or more around a table and allows people who don't have 4 in there area to play games. Kevan and Ap seem to be the most active and knowledgeable for VDP if you need help getting started.
