If you aren't doing a scheduled event, they have free gaming all day correct?

FYI, I'll be there on Sat and Sunday for my favorite events. See y'all in a couple of days.

Man alive. I was an epic fail this year.
Took a light wound early in the World's Largest and flew around with one gun until I got shot up so bad that I had to bail out.
Took a critical wound on the first turn of the Gen Con Open. Passed out and died.
I've had some might big flops in this game, but this year just about takes the cake.

You're right Michael. Some of us more mature folks tend to not take younger players seriously. Anyone who made that mistake while playing against you probably got what he (or she) deserved.
As for me Gen Con went amazingly well. Only two rookie pilots were shot down: one was dead with a pilot hit and the other caught a fuel tank leak, but managed to glide behind his own lines and safely crash. I scored SEVEN kills, two of them by winning roll-offs, and in addition failed a 60% roll for credit and killed an observer (2 hits in the same turn on the King of Wurttemburg in the God Save the King scenario). The only downside was mediocre results in the big games.

My Gen Con was a total disaster. I didn't want to get to play nearly as much as I wanted (just got back from 11 days on the road for 3 shows) and in the two big events that I REALLY wanted to win, I got blown out of the sky with wounds in the early rounds.
Oh well. There's always next year.
