Given the worst aircraft, as usual. Take off in Pfalz D-XII at 1400. Climb to 9,200 feet over the front on my 11th mission/3kills.
Meet 2 Spads, and 3 Camels. 1st turn move second. Stephen Dale in Br. Camel140 climbs to 9550. Best I can do is 9450, so come in for 100' bottom shot and hit for 8hf, while taking 6hf from Stephen in his Fr. Spad XVII. Roll a 5 for numbers, and being tailed by the Spad, but he is facing the opposite direction. Choose climb, do not shake, but he does not choose to follow. Able to get 150' tail shot on Scott's nose down Br. Camel(140), but miss short burst. Tailing a 6,7,6 who is moving FIRST!!!
Climb to 9900 and move away from fight to minimize damage against my poor Pfalz, and no one follows!
Roll a 6,6 but cant get back in it. fly towards fight and climb to 10,150. Roll 8,7 and move 2nd. Could a good shot, but would have 3 enemy shooting at me! NOT a good choice!!! Climb to 10,350" and bide my time! (I feel like Bruce Raabe!)
Roll a 6,10. Not bad, dive to 9350' to take a 100' tail shot on Stephen Dale who is attacking my wingman Wayne Richeson.
Hit for 8 hf, while taking 4hf from the left side from Scott.
Tailing Stephen Dale, who rolls a 4. He appears to be stuck in a left bank, which I covered. Hit him for 8 more hf from 100', and blow off his right wing for my 4th kill!!!! However, following the Camel has taken me away from the rest of the fight again!
Roll 7,8 climbing to 9600, and getting close to the combat.
Roll a 4, and climb into a 100' Tail shot on Scott at 9700'.
Hit his Br. Camel(140) for 7hf, and put a bullet into his pilot. (for what I was later to find out was only a light wound.)
Scott rolled a 7, but shook me, so I Maneuvered in for a 300' Tail shot on Dory Oda in an AMERICAN Spad 13.I hit her for 4 hf, and tail her.
She rolls a 9, but my tailing succeeds, and I close to 100' at 9850' and nail her for 6hf.
Sucessfully tailing her again (while losing distance in my inferior aircraft) fire from 200' and jam my left gun on a short burst at 5%.
and only hit her for 2hf. Succeed in tailing, lose another 100' and only hit for another 2hf. Sucessfully tail again, but rather than take a 400' tail with one gun,dive to get a 100' bottom shot on Stephen's Spad 17 with one gun for 3 hf.
Moved first next turn, anf cleared the jam, but ALL the allies flew away, leaving me no more targets!!!!!
