Well I mentioned specific examples in my own life where I've been blessed to reach many different types of people using the Word of God to evangelize them. Was relationship a part of it? Absolutely it was. It was effective to reach a Satanist, an atheist, a former gangster from the hood, a former Jehovah's Witness, former Catholics. The list goes on. I'm not patting my own back the point I'm making is that it was the Word of God that led to those hearts and lives being changed, and I was God's willing instrument to bring His Word to these various types of people. And your response to my example was to say "A broken clock is right twice a day"? As much as I like that statement (it's quite funny sometimes), it certainly doesn't apply here.

While I may be broken, God's Word is not.

It applies in the sense that the end does not necessarily justify the means. If your methods are right, fine. If they are wrong, fine. But I believe you would agree that the mere fact that some level of success was achieved does not necessarily validate the method itself.

Good night Stephen. God bless you. I love you like a brother and only want the best for you. At no time in any of my comments do I ever want that to be forgotten.

This has all just gotten so bizarre and pointless. No, the topic that you brought up is neither bizarre nor pointless. SD said that we cannot rely on our belief in the bible's infallibility when we are dealing with the unsaved. You dismissed his response by saying "Well considering that I've had the great joy of leading a Satanist, a former exotic dancer, and a Jehovah's Witness all to Christ using the Bible, I think I'll stick with God's Word which is a discerner of the hearts of men. " However, the bare fact that you have experienced some success in evangelism does not necessarily mean that the methods you employ are always superior. IOW, the end does not necessarily validate the means. Demanding that an unbeliever accept the bible's infallibility may occasionally work, but it is, overall, a circular argument that will frequently fail because the bible must then appeal to itself for its own authority, which is a position that most people will reject. It also is no better than the argument offered by any other religion that claims their holy book to be the infallible one.
