Okay, I found my copy of the new foreign film, "The Red Baron." I have not seen the movie yet and I'm anxious to watch it.
If we want to schedule a gaming night at my house next month or any time in the near future, we can game from, say, 2-8pm, then I'll make my world famous popcorn and we can watch the new film on the big screen in our home theater.
Any takers?

And I also have the new documentary on the Somme Offensive of 1916. Its not an aviation flick, but I've not seen it yet either and its still WWI related. So that's a future option as well at the Indy Squadron Cinema.

We did this once before when "Flyboys" came out... we all went to the theater to see it after gaming one day. Was really a lot of fun. And this may be even more convenient because we don't have to travel anywhere.

So could we have a game like the RBF but even more historically accurate?

RBF is very historically accurate... just about as accurate as the game can be compared to the actual event. A considerable amount of research went into creating that event and it is about as close as DP can get.
But yes, we could.

Oh, my, Flyboys was about as INaccurate as anything I've ever come across, as far as the general war info. The RBF is far more accurate than that.

How about we make our next gaming day in march the movie night?

I would enjoy that. Start gaming at 2pm, play a least two campaign games, then fill time with another game if necessary for an 8pm show time?
I'll provide the popcorn and cokes. Movie ends around 10pm and we call it a night?
What does everyone say?
This is a well made, brand new film. I've not seen it yet - I'm waiting for our squadron movie night.

Sounds fun. What is the movie rated? Does it have language or sexual content?

Sounds fun. What is the movie rated? Does it have language or sexual content? It's a German film so there is no rating. I've not seen the film so I can't speak on anything else. Good question, though. I saw nothing in the preview that would indicate anything unsavory. The English title is "The Red Baron," or "Der rote Baron" overseas. It came out in 2008. Here is the IMDB page: www.imdb.com/title/tt0365675/. Let me know what you find.

But, there is a rating: Rated PG-13 for war violence, some disturbing images and brief suggestive material. Like I said, can't be any worse than Flyboys.

We could do a recreation of Richthofen's 11th victory, when he took down Laone Hawker. Might be tough on the Allies though.
