As the time approaches for this game, once again i am contemplating coming down for this event. Nothing definitive, but if i were to make it, some questions....
my general plan would be to drive down on Friday, stay over friday night, play saturday, stay over saturday night and drive home on sunday (its a 10 hours drive back to canada).
so...
1) is their a inexpensive hotel near the gamerz? i will be coming down with my girlfriend, who will be sitting at the hotel, during saturday, an it would be nice if their were some places (close) that she could go to, like malls/shopping areas etc.
2) what is the schedule for saturday? is it just the red baron game? or do you play a number of games, during the course of the day?
3) what times? start? finish? etc.
4) any sites in the area worth seeing?
thanks garyb

We would be honored to entertain the first Canuck entry in RBF! Yes, there are hotels nearby. Never priced them but we can steer you toward the closest to get you started. Yes, there is a great mall and LOTS of shopping within 2 miles of where we play. Schedule - I'm sure we could get some people together for a game or two on Fri night if you'd like. On Saturday, we could start at 9am and RBF begins at 11am. I have to leave in late afternoon, but we're sure to have four for continued gaming well into the night. Its not uncommon to play until 10pm. Does that help? Let us know what else you need and we'll accomodate.

no canadians have made the trip? well, then we must start a new tradition , does that mean i get to paint the canadain flag on the wings? of my counter? best would be a hotel, between the mall/shopping area, and gamerz.....or close to the mall/shopping, then my gf, can drop me off to play, and then do her thing.... As for friday night gaming, that would work for me...if things come together, i should be down in that area around 1 or 2 in the afternoon, so if we played later that evening, that would still give me 4-5 hours to check out the area... As to saturday, if i understand correctly, their will be more than 1 game played, not just the red baron game... thanks garyb

I'd be in for a few games Friday night. And if you need a list of places around there, look for any motel/hotel on US31 on the south side of Indy/Greenwood/Smith Valley. That should cover the immediate area. You should be able to find something in the 69-99/nite range. And you can shoot me an email if you need a list of places to shop/etc, I'd be happy to go over some possibilities with you. Stephen, have you been to the new Gamerz location yet? Maybe we should make sure we post directions to the new spot?

I've not been there yet, so we need new directions and reservations for the 10th, too.
