Kudos to those involved with the newest VDP version that was launched. When Kurt and I were trying to drum up interest for the initial version, it was difficult to get people to take a crack at Vassal. Glad to see that there's a burgeoning interest and that you guys (Kev?) have picked up the torch. Nice job on the update! Kurt...long time no speak, bud. Hey George, Glad to see you here. Kudos to you for getting the mod started. Kevan and I just added to what you had already built. Hope to see you around more. I think the VDP is really picking up steam.
On a side note. If you would like to add me as an admin on the original VDP vassal group, we can consolidate our pages and have a single VDP on Vassalengine.org

Rex, it may be just about time to do a major version 2 update. I was hoping to have at least one 50 x 50 map ready to go, but it's taking too long. A map can easily be downloaded separately anyways.
We've had some great ideas proposed for v2, especially from Rex and Mark, and I think everyone will find it an improved playing experience.
George, it's great to see checking in. I hope you can join us for a game some time.

George - Great to hear from you again. It's been awhile. I tried both of the e-mail addresses I had for you a while back when the guys here were looking into whether they could modify your DP module. As you can see it's grown in leaps and bounds. We've had a bit more success getting regular VDP games going this time than you I had with our first two attempts. Personally I've been struggling with it as VASSAL seems to make my computer crash but it's my understanding it's probably my computer and not anything software related. As a result my personal involvement (but not my interest) has waned a bit over the last couple months. As I said, great to see you again and maybe you can drop in some evening and either spectate or get in the game. If you take part it has to be better than your first foray into DP. I seem to remember on the first turn of your first game I hit your engine with a lucky 500 ft. shot that caused a crit and caused you to go into a glide.
