Hey there folks I recently exchanged geekmail with Kevan regarding dropping by the thursday night VDP rounds. I loved playing Dawn Patrol way back when, and, though I haven't pushed these counters around in an eon, I was really excited to see you folks have a small group playing regularly. My problem is, when I try to d/l the 1.2 module off Vassal (from here: www.apelint.com/DawnPatrol/DawnPatrolv12.mod), I get a 404 error. When I backtrack the URL to www.apelint.com, I get: Seeing this instead of the website you expected? This page is here because the site administrator has changed the configuration of this web server. Please contact the person responsible for maintaining this server with questions. The Apache Software Foundation, which wrote the web server software this site administrator is using, has nothing to do with maintaining this site and cannot help resolve configuration issues.
I don't know if I'm the only one getting this message, but I'd like to know if there is another location out there where I could pull down the VDP 1.2 mod as I'd love to pop in and play some VDP with y'all. Thanks in advance. Cheers Dogm. [Justin]

Hey Justin, there seems to be a problem with that site, which I believe Rex maintains. Hopefully he'll see these posts soon and can fix it. In the meantime, if you geekmail me your email address, I can try to email it to you. If the file size is too big for your email admin (20MB), I'll figure out a website to post it for download. Edit: I've uploaded it to RapidShare. You should be able to download via the following link: rapidshare.com/files/72546148/DawnPatrolv12.mod.html

Kevan Thanks for the follow-up. I pulled the mod off the rapidshare link and it appears to be working. Thanks a ton. Oh...and I had geekmailed this same question to you earlier, so you can just ignore that. And, I have to say, this is one of the cooler Vassal modules I've ever seen. I regret not looking into this a long time ago. Now it's time to break out the real box and reread all those long-forgotten rules.

Thanks. While we can't take credit for the original VDP module, Rex and I did a fair bit of work on upgrading it to the current version. When I have some slow time this winter, I have a few dozen more planes to add and hopefully a new map or two for v1.3

Hey, I didn't realize I was still the primary download point for that. I will put the files back up right now. Let me know if you can't get to it after reading this.

Hi - when I try and download v1.2 from the VASSAL site I get a "Web page not found error" i.e.
This error (HTTP 404 Not Found) means that Internet Explorer was able to connect to the website, but the page you wanted was not found. It's possible that the webpage is temporarily unavailable. Alternatively, the website might have changed or removed the webpage.
For more information about HTTP errors, see Help.
Is v1.2 downloadable from somewhere?
Regards
Andy

It may no longer be available. I'll upload a copy on to mediafire tonight and post a link.

Looks like someone has been making changes on our shared Web Server. I am working on getting it back up. Should have it working again tonight.
