When Mark dropped off the game last night we had a little while to ponder how best to address the issue when this happens in the future. One of the suggestions was that we VDP players trade telephone numbers so that should a connection be lost for a period of time someone can call to check. Another suggestion was internet messaging, but if the person in question has lost their internet connection that wouldn't work either. Does trading phone numbers sound like a good idea or is that too intrusive? Personally, what I'd do is set my cell phone to vibrate and leave it next to me so that if my connection is lost, someone could call me but it wouldn't ring and wake the family.

I vote for this. I fired up the laptop last night thinking it might be the NIC card, but no dice. I did not you all wasting time waiting for me. Maybe we pass off numbers at the start of the game. I would not rather have my number on a web page somewhere, get to many sales calls as it is.

Could phone numbers be listed in a members-only section of the new website?

Could phone numbers be listed in a members-only section of the new website? I still wouldn't recommend that - we are better off using email and/or vassal chat to exchange numbers.

I would recommend we just exchange them when we get online to play.
