Just to give everyone a quick update, we've got a pair of SE'5a's facing off against a pair of Albatri. We're at the end of turn two and things are just heating up. The four rules modifications we're using are as follows:
1) All guns roll separately, meaning if you have a twin mount like the Alb's you roll twice for damage on the single deck gun chart. The rule that single deck guns move up a damage column has been deleted.
2) Gun jam chances are the same but the ability to fix them is different. We've increased the chance to fix a jam by 10%, but reduced the number of chances one has to fix them to five turns.
3) Deflection is modified with all top, bottom, and side shots adding one to the "to hit" roll, with two added for head-on shots. Tail shots move up one damage column. Side shots are no longer are moved down a damage column.
4) No dive movement bonus is used. If your speed is 100 you move 10 squares, regardless of how much you dive.

Guys, I just want to let you know I'll be out of town for a couple days and will return on Wednesday the 29th. We're still waiting on Rex to choose his tailing card so we can get turn three started. Once he picks his card Kevan and Dan can do their moves.

Sounds good. Now that all cards are picked, Kevan and Dan can proceed.

I don't believe I received your move, Andy.
(and if anyone from game #3 is reading this, I'm on the road until Thursday, but will process turn 9 that evening)

Just as a quick update to E-Game #5, Rex has had to escape with his damaged Albatros while Dan has decided to stick around and see if he can gain the upper hand against the pair of olive Drab SE-5a's. We've just started turn 8 with Andy tailing Dan and with Kevan about 1500' above the pair, temporarily out of the battle.

Well to close out this lengthy game, Dan held on against the two SE's for as long as he could, but eventually Andy in his SE peppered the Alb's LW with one too many shots, causing it to fold up. Luckily Dan had a parachute, but unfortunately it was one of those rare missions that was well over Allied lines. Dan drifted toward earth where he landed successfully and evaded capture for a short while. Alas his war came to end as some British AA gunners saw and caught him.
All in all it was a fun 18 turn E-game. I hope everyone enjoyed it. My special rules seemed to work out all right unless the players have other opinions.
For me personally it's been great because since I downloaded a new video driver for my computer a month or so ago I haven't been having the crashing problem anymore with VDP when I open it. It's worked successfully the last dozen or so times I've opened it so I'm about ready to rejoin the fray on Thursday nights.
