As we have all now moved over to this new and much improved site, I thought it might be an opportunity to just remind everyone that DP is alive and well in the United Kingdom.
We call our group the "Inviolable Squadron" and have a web site with some news (see link on my profile). Unfortunalty our web administrator is in the middle of his exams and has not been able to update this site for some time.
We have 6 players and play once a week with everyone (Sunday nights) and in the week with as many players as we can muster .... this usually is one other game midweek.
people may have seen my posts in the previous site, but we are playing an ongoing campaign which is proving most successful and we constantly update and play test these campaign rules.
I have full details of my campaign should anyone want some ideas for a campaign of their own. With a set number of units and a set order of battle, each game realy does have an impact on all subsequent games.

Playing once a week is a pretty remarkable achievement, but aren't most of you guys pretty young? I don't mean to denigrate anyone at all, but I think that sort of frequency becomes more difficult as folks get married and have kids.
The biggest challenge here in Indy (and apparently everywhere else) is sustaining a gaming group long term. Madison, the Region, Kalamazoo... nearly every squadron in the country goes on hot streaks for a few months then dies off for the next year or two.
And of course, gaming's natural enemy (females) take their toll. Around here we jokingly call them "marriage casualties." Must be God's way of keeping balance in the universe. If it weren't for wives, gaming might have taken over the world by now.
So have at it while you can. Its been fifteen years or more since we gamed weekly.

I take the age thing as one of the greatest complimets I have ever had ! Im 35, married and have a 3 year old daughter. Phil (Pup1) same age, married, with two daughters ! Two other members are married and we have a single guy in his 30's and one young whipper snapper - Ant- our web administrator who is 19.
So yeah, we are all feeling the pinch with wives and such like. The good thing is we all live within a few miles of one another and have pretty good dedication. We also do 3.5 D&D with the same group - we just love gaming i guess !

Well then, there's your compliment for the day! I assumed from knowing your webmaster's age and your ability to game so frequently that you guys were late teens or twenties.
