And last among my stat collecting, I have divided out the total number of points scored by the amount of appearances at Indy's 2 big events, and came up with each player's average for Big Game appearances. I set the criteria for this stat as AT LEAST THREE appearances in RBF or Armistice Day Fits. (These also obviously would not reflect the old games where scores are not available).
These are the highest averages among Indy's players:
All-Time Top TEN:
1. Terry Phillips: 95.3 2. Ben Hodgson: 89.5 3. Graham Shepfer: 83.8 4. Kevin Richeson: 76.6 5. Stephen Skinner: 71.1 6. Wayne Richeson: 67.5 7. Ken Mrozak: 61.8 8. Scott Cambpell: 60.8 9. Rick Lacy: 60.2 10. Cody Richeson: 57.3
11. Alice Skinner: 53.7 12. Bart Stano: 50.3 13. Stephen Dale Skinner: 49.8 14. Dory Oda: 48.3 15. George Cunningham: 45.6 16. Clark Sigmund: 42.0 17. Nate Engle: 31.3 18. Scott Jones: 29.5 19. Jason Meador:27.0 20. Brian Halberstadt: 24.0

Can't believe Dory's low score. She's won three championships and come close so many other times... I think her performance in recent years has hurt her standing.
BTW, that is REALLY interesting. Thanks.

Well these are only average point totals per tournement event. I know they aren't necessarily reflective of player ability. I've just always been a stat guy and thought this might add a little flavor. It might make a nice posting along with Hall of Fame info.
In Dory's defense (and I think other long-timers), it seems to me that the more events a person has played in the lower his average has tended to be. I think that might also in part be a reflection of smaller games/events in the past when not as many points would have been available. I also noticed Dory's overall average was pulled down considerably by her Red Baron averages. Her Armistice day averages were much better.
I have also totalled up the overall points scored, which will reflect more a player's overall amount of tourneys participated in.
Here are the Top Ten all time total points tallied in Indy Squadron tourneys:
1. Stephen Skinner:2063 2. Dory Oda:1158 3. Graham Shepfer:922 4. Scott Campbell:790 5. Alice Skinner:752 6. Rick Lacy: 722 7. Scott Jones:648 8. Stephen Dale Skinner:598 9. Kevin Richeson:536 10. Bart Stano:402
As you can see, this would be much more of a lifetime acheivement award as opposed to a per game average.......(Newer players have had less time to have up and down years as well).

I think the first stat was even more telling. The truth is that my overall high score is simply due to the fact that I'm the only person to have never missed an Indy tourney event. I could probably have finished last in every one of them and still come out ahead.
Both Barton and Scott Campbell had far higher overall scores than I would have thought. Graham is no suprise... he always scores well. Scott Jones is a bit lower than I expected, but then he never had much luck in Armistice Day... his game was RBF. He won like two or three of them (see RBF page on main site). In the mid-90's, Scott Jones and Terry Phillips pretty much dominated RBF and everyone else had to scrounge for table scraps.
Why isn't Ken in the top ten overall? Has he not been in enough tourneys yet?

Actually Ken just missed the top ten overall points and is only slightly behind Bart. A few more tourney appearances and he will most likely crack it! I was shocked Cody was so high in the averages, but he has only flown in 3 tourney events. Still in thinking about it, he has never performed horribly in a tourney. In fact he had a very good shot of winning a couple of years ago when he abandoned us for a hot date mid-tourney.

I think another interesting stat I am compiling will be the AMOUNT of points a player has scored in comparison with the amount of points that were available in the tourneys he or she has participated in. This will be reflected in percentage points. I will have this out before too long........
