As you know, we use quotes (either from public domain sources like this forum, or by permission from letters, etc) from prominent DP players around the world at the top of each menu page on our main site.
I'd like to add a tag to the person who is credited with each quote. For instance, right now one page says "I love the Forum! Excellent features, and very user friendly... great commentary about the game. - Blake Taylor" I'd like it to say " - Blake Taylor, player since 1988," or "- Blake Taylor, Smithton Squadron Champion" or something like that.
So, for the following players, please respond on this thread and tell me a) the year you started playing, and b) what honors, championships or titles I have to choose from to list behind your name. Thanks.
- Blake Taylor - Dan Danoski - Ken Mrozak - Kevin Richeson - Graham Shepfer - Gary Blemings - Jeff Manjarrez - George Henion
Any local squadron honors (non-Indy) are of particular interest. Thanks again, and if you have any questions about your quote being used on our site, please see our POLICY section on the MISSION STATEMENT page.

Stephen, well you know mostly about me being a local Indy guy. But If I'm not mistaken the first time I played was probably around 1997 at your house.
As far as titles: I am the reigning Red Baron Fight champ and as you know I also won the 2003 Armistice Day Fits Tournament with a score of 147 (which incidentally was the single-highest scoring game in the history of the event). For what it's worth I placed 3rd in the 2001 title event as well. I am also a Pastor and licensed minister.

Thanks Stephen I started playing in 1983 at the University of Wisconsin Wargaming Club. For Awards I have won the Society Open, Team Tourney, both last year and before that, I have coordinated the Team Tourney since 2001 and Gen Con since Mac stepped down after the first Indy Gen Con.

Very good. Thanks.
George, what year did you win the Society Open? And were your Team Tourney titles in 05 and 03?

Thanks. I figured you'd need to start your own thread to hold all the material. "Now I really hate him." - Doc Holliday, Tombstone

Stephen-
I first played back in 1987-88. I cut my teeth at UW Madison with the likes of George Henion and Al Christensen.
Notable 'victories' include 1st place Winter Fantasy 1994, 1st place Dawn Patrol Summer Revel 1997 (a summer gameing weekend in Milwaukee-long defunked now, as is winter fantasy), and Co-Champion 1999 Society Open. Otherwise, in general, I'm a tough nut to chase off in gameplay (something I take a bit of pride in).
I take credit for hosting the pre-GenCon warm-up when it was in Milwaukee for serveral years running (from early 1990's until it's relocation in Indy). I found this fun to run. I was very pleased to see the event continue as the torch is passed-on to those members in Indy-Kudos guys. I think it shows the love we all have for the game and the desire to squeeze just a few more hours of gaming in a con! I look forward to seeing you guys this August (count one more guy from Milwaukee)
I've been living in Milwaukee since 1991 so I fly with a hodge-podge of members in the area. Other 'titles' I hold are: husband an father of twin girls.
