Wow, this is an interesting turn...better hope you end up in a good financial situation because apparently the Constitution now only applies to those who only make a certain amount of money... www.roguegovernment.com/news.php?id=3091The more of these I see, the more I wonder how anyone can just sit there and say 'it's an isolated instance' or 'it's not a big deal'...just the sheer number of things like this happening is scary.

This is simply amazing. It's like the Constitution has no meaning to him. Simply amazing. You should make every attempt to read this if for no other reason that to see a stark picture of where things are going if we don't vote to change things next year. www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/07/20070717-3.html?1

These people are unbelievable.
Vote for Ron Paul and save this country.
BTW, I was talking to a guy the other day and he said I should vote for this Fred Thompson (?) character. Apparently he's on some medical soap opera on tv. I asked where Thompson stood on various issues and he said "well, I don't know."
If you don't know what the guy stands for, how do you know if you like him?

There seems to be a lot of stuff like this popping up now, and I only expect it'll get larger as the next election rolls around. Make no mistake about it, the next election is likely to be a watershed in American history. www.roguegovernment.com/news.php?id=3154So a duly elected Congressman whose job is to be part of the continuity of government planning is denied access to pertinent information by the executive branch. Something really wrong here.

The Dept of InJustice is pretty much a secret police system to protect the president anymore. Janet Reno's InJustice Dept. stood by while the BATFE did what it does best (gets embarrassed in a firefight by untrained civilians) and while the FBI does what it does best (burns children alive in church). Who was the idiot that preceded Gonzales? Can't remember his name... he stood by and did nothing while the president annointed himself dictator.
Now, if Gonzales every told the truth about something... now THAT would be news.

Most people have no clue what the Fourth Amendment even says.
America is fatally stupid. We're dying of our own ignorance.

Here is a great article that sums up a lot of what I've posted here, it's not an abuse of power by gov article specifically, but a lot of what it says does apply to government as well as the commercial sector: www.ft.com/cms/s/fdf57d8c-4458-11dc-90ca-0000779fd2ac.htmlAs an example, I signed my son up to play in a soccer league last year. We bought his equipment at thingy's Sporting goods. In the mail last week I got a flyer with coupons specifically aimed at soccer...if a retailer can do that, think for a minute who else can, and probably much better...

Only use supermarket loyalty cards if you can do so anonymously.
For instance, Kroger cards do not have to be "activated." So I go in, ask for a card, tell them I don't have time to fill out the forms right at that moment so I'll have to drop them by later, and leave. Then I leave the card anonymous and use it. My purchases are tracked in an account, but they have no name or record on the account.
Those of you who don't worry about being tracked by loyalty cards, should. One guy was arrested after 9/11 for buying a load of fertilizer at a department store. The country was in such a freaked out hysteria that no one considered the obvious... that he might be intending to use it in his garden next year.

An article on record retention that should be read... www.theregister.co.uk/2007/08/08/litigation_data_retention/print.htmlNote that this is from the UK. That makes it interesting in that once the EU starts something it inevitably causes the US to do the same because no US company wants to be shut out of the EMEA market. Therefore, it's worth noting.
