I've been making my way through the Osprey "... Aces of World War I" series, and found it to be a great source of trivia. One of the things I noticed last night, as I glanced through it while playing VDP and waiting for my turn, was that some Bristols mounted Lewis guns on the upper wing. These were improvised mounts, but common enough that they were evident in at least three photos and two profiles in the book. They were improvised mounts, not Foster mounts.
Anybody have any information on the frequency of these field mounts, and what would be a fair % chance to introduce as a house rule for them?

Thr Freikorps has a house rule for SPAD 7 and Pups to get a Lewis gun. Ten percent chance ,each pilot roles seperately. Aces get an extra 5%. The Lewis is FF only and cannot be reloaded or cleared if jammed.
