Figured I'd start with a house rule that was new to most of you.
Germany kept track of Victories scored by ground crews. I believe the top crew had eleven victories.
When a gound crew gets a possible pilot hit they hit on double ones.
If a set of doubles is rolled that is higher than double ones we check to see if the crew is experienced. For each double above one a d6 is rolled. If that die rolls a one the ground crew hits on double two's. We keep rolling dice until a number other than a one is rolled.
For example The ground crew rolls double threes on its pilot possible. A d6 is rolled. If that roll is a one it means that the crew is experienced and pilot possables on double 2's count as well. Another d6 is rolled it also rolls a 1. So now the ground crew gets possible pilot hits on double 1's, 2's, or 3's. Another d6 is rolled. it rolls a 2. This stops the die rolls and means the ground crew only hits on double 1's 2's or 3's.
Note it is possible for a ground crew to hit on double 6's.
Ok think it over and lets talk.

I like it. it does not seem too complicated and is an easy rule to bring in.
Also, the possibility of getting an exp crew is there , without the chances being too high.
As far as I am concerned, It is a rule that would word and add another dimention to the game.

Just been thinking about this as I watch England play the West Indies in a cricket test match (do any of you know about cricket over there !?).
If you did go ahead with having some crews who were experienced, youd have to devise some way to identify the specific MG / AA counter so you could keep track of where the exp crews were.
A simple numerical system would work - MG1 MG2 AA1 etc

The idea sounds fun, but new ways to die scare me.

LOL glad you guys like it. I'll tackle a harder one next. For those of you who missed the post (on another thread) that started this. A comment was made that geographically based groups would never agree on house rules. Well since we have this nice handy forum (Thanks Stephen) Lets see if we can achieve a simularity.

Since your historical search shows the best battery only scored 11 kills, no crew should be able to hit a pilot on better than double 5's. ;D
