At some point somewhere I saw a chart with revised head on hit locations. It seems to me that it gave a higher percentage to RW/LW and lesser to E, and additionally had pilot chances being possibles, not probables.
This makes sense to me in that a head on shot is the highest deflection shot there is. Does anyone recall a chart like that?

Yeah, it was my chart. 1-2 Left wing, 3 Center wing/Pilot(probable at 200' or less, possible over 200', 4 Engine, 5-6 Right wing. Ken

I like this a little better:
1 - LW
2 - CW (possible crew hit)
3 - E
4 - FF (possible crew hit)
5 - E
6 - RW
no probables, but 2 chances for a crew hit. Plus being able to damage the FF makes sense to me.

Crew hit is POSSIBLE regardless of distance (as opposed to PROBABLE)?

Yep, that's the way I'd see it. The deflection is so great that if you move from possible to probable then a collision is almost certainly going to occur as the pilots are so focused that they will forget to move their planes.

Plus, a lot of people are really tired of dying in head ons.
I agree with the deflection thought, too, but now we're getting back to the age old debate... is Dawn Patrol a freeze frame or a twenty second flow? I can go either way, but I hate trying to do both.
