There has been discussion of a Wingman Tourney on December 2nd and 3rd, anyone interested in attending, and where would you like to see it.

That is an Indy gaming day but we could easily move it. If no overnight stay is involved from Indy, Stephen Dale and I could commit right away. It would be a lot of fun. If an overnight stay is involved, then its a "wait and see." We'd certainly make it if possible.

Actually, I think it would be cool to go up again. If you wanted to split a hotel room we could do that if overnight is required (unless Bart is going, then I'd split with him).

The further North the event, the better the odds of MN players joining!! Madison anyone? Or even better...everyone needs to get their Christmas shopping done, right? What better place than the Mall of America?? Send the wife off for a weekend of shopping with FITS going on nearby...

It depends how much driving you wanted to do, but there are a number of people in the Milwaukee/Madison area that may be able to put you up for the night as well, so you didn't have to cover a hotel also. The location isn't set yet, but likely WI, unless something better comes along for most participation

Closer is still better for us - as I suppose it is for everyone else, too!

Here's the official announcement:
MARK YOUR CALENDAR & GRAB YOUR FAVORITE WINGMAN!
The 2006 Wingman Tourney is slated for December 2nd & 3rd
Here it is, one of the FITS Society's most enjoyable competitions - the two-player Wingman Tournament that allows you to fly four games with your favorite player, matching your wits, skill and luck against other teams vying for the championship.
The idea is simple. Every round, you and your wingman will be paired up with another twosome, and the four of you will take on two pairs of opposing players in an eight player game. There will be two team scores, and both sets of wingmen on each side will take their score for that round. After four rounds, the twosome with the highest overall score will be champions!
This tournament format will be run with 16 or 24 players - the more participants, the better, so get your wingman lined up for the action now! Al Christensen will be the event coordinator.
Dates - Friday / Saturday / Sunday, December 1 / 2 / 3
Baymont Inn & Suites West 608-831-7711 8102 Excelsior Drive Madison, Wisconsin 53717 $69 rooms are reserved for us, being held until November 24
Friday - Open gaming from Noon to Midnight Saturday - Briefing at 8:30 am, Rounds 1-3 at 9 am, 1:30 pm and 7 pm Sunday - Final round at 9 am, afternoon game at 1:15 pm
You must pre-register your twosome with George & Jennifer Henion (608-270-1782 home or 608-239-3855 cell) by November 29 latest. First 8 teams are in, others added provisionally, so call George at once to secure your spot. Team fee will be $40 per twosome for room and prizes.
