More on this in the upcoming issue, but those who would like a sneak preview of the new VM design can look here: www.trophyparts.com/2007_PDF_Catalog/2007_PDF_catalog/images/%20CT_2007_PF_pp141.pdfSee the bottom right medal labeled "Victory." Our medal will be the traditional size, about 1.25 inches wide and 1.5 inches tall, and use this same design pattern. Of course it will hang from a red ribbon as always. This new "shield" style design is pretty cool. Its only the second time we've used such a design. We'll have it for the next three years. I tried super hard for months to find a precious metal based VM this year, but couldn't find one. There are only $6 each so if we find a precious metal VM next year we can simply swap them out with very little loss. More in the upcoming article in the next issue. Hope everyone likes the new design for 2007.

Just picked up the new medals for 2007-2009 and they look really nice. The medal itself is a bit more bronze colored than usual (it was supposed to be more gold in color) but its not a big deal. The shield shape is actually pretty neat and makes a nice piece. They got the red ribbon and the engraving perfect so no complaint there.
We did not get boxes this year, which is too bad. Normally the medals come in a little plastic box that is nice for display but this year they only had plastic sleeves for them. They even tried to look in their stock room for boxes with no luck.
Still, the VM is back and the new design works well IMHO. Hope everyone likes it.
