I know of some DP players that choose not to retire their pilots after they've reached maximum kills. Now I don't know about anybody else, but I think, however rarely that it would be nice to get a pilot past the big "80" and maybe all the way to 100. I'd like to know what you guys think.

Ask Dan about this... I think they've made some sort of special arrangement to fly some of their pilots past mandatory retirement in a manner that is very acceptable to the society. Can't remember the details.

You should try to reach Dan by email or something. They had a pretty good idea on how to handle that and its worth hearing. I don't have his email but someone at the society will.

I could see it as a 'what if' sorta game. But I don't think said pilots could continue to fly as rostered.

Michael, The Kalamazoo Freikorps has been playing FITS for over 30 years. At first there was no limitations on kills . By the time there were, my US pilot, Capt. Buck Taylor had reached 35 kills and I had already voluntarily 'parked' him. (Selfishly, I didn't want to lose the Society's first MoH recipient) So, basically, Maj. August Ritter von Kissinger (103/95) and Maj. W.Q. Jones (5?/27) fly only in Kalamazoo. Kissinger's skills aren't any better than Jones' but it stinks that just when you get a US pilot to the 25 kill advantage level, you have to stop using him after his next kill. BTW, Kissinger has been wounded 4 times, once critically, pealed his wings in an OC spin, and been set on fire twice , once with a parachute.Just as in real combat, luck plays a part in survival.

Now this explains everything, thank you very much!
