Do you mean B.E. 2-c pusher?

I think you're mixing up your BE2 and FE2. The BE2 series were all pullers. The FE2 series were pushers.
At some point, I think we need to make an effort to switch over to FITS tables and using the full roster of planes. I think we lose out by not using all of the planes, especially ones like the FE2 that saw service through the entire war.

It all comes down to what people think they can give to others. If one isn't a FITS member then one isn't supposedly privvy to anything but 7th edition info. Unless somebody decides it's ok to distribute any and all FITS/DP info regardless of who is a FITS member or who isn't, then it's not a problem. As an example, I'm not a FITS member so should I be able to play in this e-game if I don't officially have the aircraft info?

If my friends come over to my house to play a game of DP, should I expect them all to get FITS memberships before using the new planes? Seems to me that FITS would benefit more by me spreading the word and showing everyone what they have to offer.
I guess it turns into a bit of a chicken and egg discussion.

Initiate is done: Order is: Kirk, Dan, Herman, Kevan, Andrew, Carl
Visual representation of order in the "Cards" window (also to make tailing easier later).

Seems to me the best way to get (and keep) people interested in the game is to provide them with any and all of what is available. Keeping it a secret until you pay your $12 a year seems silly, especially considering there are so few people still playing the game anymore.

As far as I know, if you go to dawnpatrol.org and sign up as a user, you get access to all the plane stats on the site. I dunno if anyone monitors that site anymore though... so if you sign up and nothing happens, PM me and I will give you my login so you can get to the planes. As far as signing up for 'The Aerodrome', anytime Mike has a new relevant chart, he sends it out with this publication, hence the members 'being privvy' to the new info. Anyone is welcome to the information, I know I have been to many tournaments where players dont have certain charts, and someone will make copies for them right there. So VDP players are more than welcome to the charts, the tough part is, no one has soft copies so we cant email them. Just a quick prop for "The Aerodrome" though, it really is a nice publication, and its about WW1 aviation on a whole, not just the game. The last issue had a GREAT article from an interview with a pilot that flew with Cole Palen at Old Rhinebeck - he recounts his story of crashing in the Dolphin - an amazing story that alone would be worth the price to me!!

The dawnpatrol.org site doesn't really have any content that I can see. I register and then I go to the home page that offers the following buttons; Home, Introduction, Joining FITS, Events, and Links, none of which have any discernable content. In the old days there were pages with all the aircraft info, new rules, etc., but all that was only available to FITS members (although I have to admit some very nice guy a few years back gave me the username and password so I was able to access all that stuff).

There seems to be a bit of a delay with registration. I signed up in the spring, received the last Aerodrome, but don't believe I've been sent a password for the dawnpatrol.org site. I chalk it up to it being a volunteer organization, so maintenance is probably infrequent.

Do you have to join FiTS to gain access to anything at the website? I registered yesterday and it showed me as logged in, but there still wasn't anything to peruse.

Note I said 2002 version. The current website is missing most of the content (hence why we're playing using Vassal).
I miss the old html web engine...

Playing via VASSAL has nothing to do with the old DP website. Using VASSAL is a quantum leap forward compared to the old webgames. Even playing via e-mail is faster than the webgames were. In fact, the first time I tried to get things started with VASSAL was back when the webgames were still being played. I think the main reason people didn't want to try VASSAL back then was because they already had a way to play online - even though it couldn't really be described as online play as we know it today.

Thats the tables I have.
I've emailed Jim, as those links don't show up for me (and it doesn't accept my login when I try to access the FITS content page).

Gone through all the logs so far; close range and nasty.
For future reference, "bank" is a special maneouvre and requires a minimum of 3 squares when you choose to use it (it didn't matter in this case as the same end position could be reached using "normal" movement). Pg3-4.
